WHY CONSIGNMENT?

Lace Exchange was born for the sustainable, budget-conscious bride. After seeing a need for more options for brides to be able to support talented independent designers, but not always having the budget to do so, we wanted to help!

Bridal at its core was always intended to be slow fashion. What has happened over the years is the wedding industry has contributed to so much waste. Large fashion houses and some designers have cut corners- opting to move production overseas, sourcing cheaper fabrics, knocking off designs from iconic designers, etc.

While we know not everyone has the budget to be able to buy directly from these iconic designers, buying second-hand will make some of the gowns more accessible to more brides. Rather than buying a cheaply-made knockoff, you can support the original designer by buying used and getting a great price on your dream dress.

We want to be able to continue to support the designers who put sustainability and ethical methods of production at the forefront of their business. By supporting Lace Exchange, you are supporting the designers who take the extra time to do so.
